Choosing a school for your child is an important decision to make. We would
love to meet you and your child at an informal visit to our school to show
you why we think Paparangi School would be a great choice for your child.
 
We understand that you want to make the right enrolment choice for your
child. The school experience naturally has a big impact on your child’s
happiness and wellbeing as well as how well they do at school. It’s true
that most children in New Zealand attend the primary school closest to
where they live. We know we can offer the children in our school home-zone
an excellent education in our environmentally and sustainably aware school.
 
Our school sits at the heart of the Paparangi suburb. We are located on the
arterial route through the suburb which allows many of our students the
option of walking to school (with the help of our School Patrol to safely
cross Beazley Road). Paparangi School doesn’t have a uniform; however, we
require all of our students to wear a broad-brimmed hat in terms one and
four as part of our commitment to Sun Safety.
 
Paparangi School is fortunate in having an established and reliable before-
and after-school care programme operated by AboutKidzOscar – so if you need
to start early or work a bit later you know that your child is being cared
for in a safe, inclusive and entertaining environment. You can request
AboutKidzOscar contact details from the school office.
 
We provide 5-year-olds starting school a series of 4-6 school visits prior
to starting. This gives your child an opportunity to familiarise themselves
with a classroom situation, to get to know their teachers and to meet the
children who will be in their class. It also gives your child an indication
of school routines. New entrant school visits are on a Wednesday morning
from 8:40 am to 11:40 am.
